Newsletter: April 2026

Welcome to the April 2026 edition of the Town Council’s newsletter!

Flag-flying at the Millennium Garden

This month we flew the Suffrage flag to celebrate International Women’s Day (Sunday 8th March).

Additionally, on Tuesday 24th March, Chipping Norton Town Council and the Chippy Amnesty group proudly raised the Human Rights Flag. The occasion commemorated the International Day for the Right to Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims.

Keep Chippy Beautiful – The Big Spring Clean Up!

Our first ‘Big Clean-up’ litter pick event of the year was held on Saturday, 21st March. We were joined by a lovely group of 24 volunteers to Keep Chippy Beautiful!

☀️ We were lucky to have the sun shining down on us as volunteers of all ages came together to clean up streets all over Chippy.

A massive thank you to everyone who turned up to play their part in keeping our town beautiful. 👏

Keep an eye on our website and socials for any updates on our future litter picking events!

They happen on the second Saturday of every month and begin at 10am at the Leisure Centre.

Have your say!

What are your thoughts on Chippy’s parks?

This survey aims to understand how often residents use local parks and play areas, whether the equipment meets their needs, and what improvements could be made. The results will help guide future investment and maintenance decisions.
