Upper Hall

This large, attractive space has the advantage of a private bar and a full stage, with the additional benefit of balcony seating. Perfect for any performance, presentation, awards ceremony or wedding reception.

We can offer a dry bar for your own use, or we can run a bar for your event. 6 ft x 3 ft & 3 ft x 3 ft trestle tables are available in your hire price as well as seating for up to 200.

Sound equipment is available although the stage area has no other technical items for use. We can offer you recommendations on local providers for lighting and additional sound.

Hearing Loop is available for use, and the room has an entrance that is accessible for wheelchair users.

Lower Hall – Including The Snug and Council Chambers

Lower Hall is a versatile space that can be expanded to include the use of The Snug area when available. If required, the Lower Hall has its own entrance that you can use for a private event or meeting.

The fully fitted catering kitchen is attached to the space, making it a great area for coffee mornings, wine club evenings and small private parties.

Cafe style tables and seating are available for use, as well as alternative trestle tables, and decorative shelving units to help you create a lovely unique space for your event. In cafe style the capacity can be up to 30. For an open non-seated event the capacity is 100 standing.

Hearing Loop is available for use, and the room has an entrance that is accessible for wheelchair users. We have a small portable PA system that can be used in the Lower Hall.

The Snug

The Snug is a small area which can be sectioned off in the Lower Hall. Offering a smaller space at a cheaper price for smaller meetings, but also adding additional space to the Lower Hall for larger meetings and gatherings.

It is regularly used as a Banking Hub on weekdays by Barclays and the T.S.B. Banks, as well as for weekly piano lessons.

It is available for hire outside of those times, and is ideal for use as an additional space for private parties, as a cloak room, or buggy park for big events taking over the whole of the Town Hall.

Hearing Loop is available for use, and the room has an entrance that is accessible for wheelchair users, with an accessible toilet on the same floor.

Council Chambers

Council Chambers is used for all official meetings of the Town Council and it’s various sub-committee’s. The design and layout is perfect for formal and informal meetings. The room can be provided with a Private entrance in to the Halls, ensuring a seamless and focused meeting experience.

Restroom facilities are accessed via the Lower Hall. Where the Lower Hall is booked at the same time as Council Chambers, the toilets are accessible via a brief stroll outside, to the alternative entrance to the building.

The room hosts a 16-seated oak conference table with leather bound oak chairs surrounding it. An overhead projector and screen is available for use in the Council Chambers. It is an ideal space for meetings for up to 16 around the table, with space for up to 20 additional seating if needed around the room.

Car Parking

Short-stay off street car parking is available next to the Town Hall with a 2 hour maximum stay.

A short walk away is New Street Car Park, which is free all day car parking and can be located here.

Additional short stay car parking is available here at the rear of the Coop on Albion Street, with a 2 hour maximum stay

Directions to the Town Hall

Car: On the A44, with Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon just over 20 miles away and Banbury just 13 miles, Chipping Norton benefits from easy access to the M40, Birmingham and the North.

Parking: The Town Hall benefits from ample free parking adjacent to the Hall itself (please note time restrictions may apply) in addition to the long stay car parks, on Albion Street and New Street.

Train: Kingham and Charlbury stations, both just 5 miles away and Banbury Station, approximately 14 miles away, offer excellent train links to all areas of the country.
