Report on the Sports Awards Ceremony held on the 9th February

The 9th Town Sports Awards were recently held at the Town Hall, which were very well attended.

Town Sports Awards Winners 2018.

Under 11 Sportsperson Jake Brown (Cricket).

11-17 Sportsperson Kitty Hitchens (Gymnast). Absent at National Championship, asked for photo.

Over 18 Sportsperson Toby Robottom (Rugby Union). Absent school skiing trip.

11-17 Team Award Chipping Norton School Boys Rugby Union Under 18 Team.

Under 11 School Award Windrush Valley School, Ascott Under Wychwood.
The School Under 11 Trampoline Team, coached by Higher Energy.
The team comprises of Isabella Guest, Hattie Maudsley and Rosa Pemberton.

11-17 Club Award Four Shires Swimming Club.

The Olympic Legacy Awards, sponsored by Better at the Chipping Norton Leisure Centre.
These awards are for those people who help our sports clubs run successfully.

Gold Medal Winner Luke Newman (Manager/Coach/Social Media/ Pitch Marking. All for Chippy Swifts).

Silver Medal Winners David Brassett and Richard Ferley (Coaches for Chipping Norton Cricket Club).

Bronze Award Winner Zoe Wakefield ( Fundraising and Promoting Four Shires Swimming Club).

A big Thank You to the Recreation Committee, the Town Council, the three judges Dave,Pam and Stuart.
Also thanks to the Mayor, Chairman of Recreation and the Deputy Mayor Don Davidson for the photographs of the night.
The Town Clerk, Janet in Accounts and Kay who produces the certificates, from the Guildhall.
Terry at the Town Hall and Better at the Leisure Centre.
Staff at Sainsbury, Chipping Norton.
And my family for the help with serving the food and drink on the night.
