We would encourage people to join local support groups (no meetings!) that are springing up in the community. We are aware that The Leys already has a thriving group and it would be helpful if we knew what other groups exist so we can share information. Obviously, these groups need to observe good protocols- minimising visits to the shops and only leaving goods on the doorstep rather than knocking. One very safe way to pay is to use PayPal Friends and Family which means people can transfer money using only their email address.

Announcement from Marys Meals and Community Larder:
WE WILL NOW DISTRIBUTE JOINTLY (CHIPPY LARDER & MARY’S MEALS) OUTSIDE THE BRANCH (OLD NATWEST BANK) IN MARKET SQUARE ON A FRIDAY BETWEEN 3-4.30PM
**********THIS WILL BE A SINGLE WEEKLY DISTRIBUTION POINT***********
WE WILL JOINTLY HAVE A LIST OF THE MOST VULNERABLE / THOSE WHO NEED DELIVERIES AND THESE DELIVERIES WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY MORNING TO MINIMISE CONTACT FOR VOLUNTEERS
WE WILL HAVE A JOINT TELEPHONE NUMBER (tbc – will let you know in next couple of hours) TO CALL IF YOU ARE NEEDING A DELIVERY. WE WILL COLLECT A JOINT LIST OF THOSE WHO NEED DELIVERIES.
Obviously, donations to help cover the cost of these services are welcome- details are buried in here https://www.stmaryscnorton.com/serving-you/caring-for-each-other.php
